Toekomsrus residents are complaining about a structure in Mooilooprivier, saying it harbours all sorts of reptiles and rodents, and that the conditions may pose a danger to them.
According to a councillor in the area, Pule Ramphore, those who are living next to the structure have been complaining about it for a long time.
“They complain about big rats they often see in the mornings. They are afraid that they will chew on wires in their car engines, causing serious damage, ” Ramphore said.
“We would also like to plead with the municipality’s Parks Department to intervene in this matter, before it is too late.”
