The Wings of Inspiration Elderly Care Centre is asking the community to help their organisation this Nelson Mandela Day and beyond.
They will be sending their bakkie to collect items from Friday, July 16 to Sunday, July 18 from people who are willing to donate to a good cause.
Anthea da Costa, one of the directors of the centre said they currently need food, blankets and clothing for their residents at all of their branches and the donations will be split equally between all of their umbrellas.
She explained that people can still dress up and they will send their photographer with their driver to photograph you.
“If you prefer to do a financial donation please let me know and I’ll send you our banking details via WhatsApp so I can allocate it towards buying food and meat for all the people in our care”.
Anthea added they currently care for 176 people on a daily basis and they would appreciate the community’s support.
