Dancing, fun and special cupcakes at Wings

Residents were spoiled with delectable curry and rice, as well as warm jackets.

The residents of Wings of Inspiration Elderly Care Centre celebrated Mandela Day differently this year due to the ongoing pandemic.

Housefather at the centre, Andrè Smith explained although no clients or visitors were allowed at the centre, the residents were still spoiled with delectable curry and rice, as well as appetising Mandela Day-themed cakes.

They also received jackets from a company called Crocket, who wished to help the residents stay warm during this cold winter.

Andrè said during the day the residents had loads of fun.

“We had dancing competitions, everyone sang, enjoyed a delicious meal and enjoyed each other’s company,” said Andrè.
