Pedestrian dies when struck by vehicle in Westonaria
'The driver of the vehicle in question was unharmed in the incident' - Campbell.
A man believed to be in his early 30s sadly lost his life when he was knocked down by a light motor vehicle on the N12 on Thursday, July 29.
According to Ross Campbell, ER24 spokesperson, their paramedics arrived on scene at approximately 05:49 to find the man lying in the middle of the road.
Paramedics assessed him and he was found to have suffered fatal injuries. He showed no signs of life.
“Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead by our paramedics. The driver of the vehicle in question was unharmed,” said Campbell.
Security services as well as the police were on the scene for further investigations.
