Expect an eight-hour power outage on Nov 4

Residents are to take note that Eskom will be switching off industries substation on Thursday, November 4 – several areas to be affected.

Phillip Montshiwa, spokesperson of the Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM), has confirmed there will be an eight-hour power outage from 08:00 to 16:00 in parts of town on Thursday, November 4.

According to the notice issued, Eskom plans to switch off the industries substation to implement emergency work on the electrical network.

The following areas will be affected, namely West Porges, Robin Park, Greenhills, Homelake, Robinson and even Azaadville.

Within these areas are the Randfontein Police Station, Randfontein Friendship Haven, Lenmed Private Hospital as well as Life Robinson Private Hospital.
