A homeowner’s house was thrown with stones and eggs by perpetrators who then fled the scene in Culemborg Park in one of the six incidents reported to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security in the Rand West City for the period Monday, October 3 to Sunday, October 9.

The security company’s operations manager Ben Willemse explained the incident took place at 22:30 last Thursday, October 6.

Details about other incidents:
1. Monday, October 3 at 13:34 – Damage to property, Kwagga Street, Greenhills
On arrival the owner informed the response officer that a driver with a grey Toyota drove into his parked BMW and left the scene.
2. Wednesday, October 5 at 01:18 – Attempted break-in, 7th Street, Randfontein CBD
Perpetrators forced open the shop’s locks and roller doors and when the alarm activated, they fled the scene.
3. Wednesday, October 5 at 18:23 – Theft, Toyota Street, Aureus
On arrival at the premises, the response officers were informed that perpetrators stole approximately 50 window frames during the evening from an area where no alarm protection is installed.
4. Friday, October 7 at 08:29 – Housebreak and theft, Main Reef Road, Randfontein CBD
Perpetrators gained entry into the premises through the roof and stole four car batteries and cash and fled the scene after damaging the alarm system.
5. Sunday, October 9 at 12:55 – Attempted housebreak, Eagle Crescent, Helikonpark
Perpetrators gained entry onto the premises by climbing over the main gate and proceeded to the unit where they bent the safety gate in an attempt to gain access into the house. When the owner became alert, they fled the scene.
