Three housebreakings reported this past week

Housebreaking was the main crime to occur in town according to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security's latest crime report from February 28 to March 5.

Three serious incidents of housebreaking were reported to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security’s client base in Rand West City for the period from Monday, February 28 to Sunday, March 5.

The security company’s operations manager Danie Vermeulen explained that during one of the housebreaking incidents in Helikon Park at 07:12 on Wednesday, March 1, the suspects gained entry to the home by jumping over the perimeter fence.

They went on to gain access into the house by forcing open a security gate and door. Suspects then went on to steal one flat screen TV, three laptops, and jewellery. No arrests have been made”.

1. Tuesday, February 28 at 01:47 – Housebreaking in Village Street, Randfontein CBD

Suspects gained entry through the roof of the shop but fled when the alarm sounded. No arrests have been made.

2. Sunday, March 5 at 23:24 – Housebreaking in Malan Street, Randgate

A suspect gained entry by jumping over the back perimeter fence and breaking a small window but fled when the alarm sounded. No arrests have been made.
