Two armed robberies in one week

A domestic worker was held at gunpoint and a woman at knifepoint – two armed robberies that were reported in Rand West City this past week.

A domestic worker was held at gunpoint during an armed robbery in Helikon Park last week.

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security’s operations manager Danie Vermeulen explained the incident took place at 12:48.

“The robbers gained entry by lifting the main gate of the rail and held the domestic worker at gunpoint. The robbers stole three TVs.”

This was one of three serious incidents reported to Mapogo in Rand West City for the period June 19 to June 25.

Another armed robbery occurred on June 22 at 09:57 in Greenhills where robbers also gained entry by lifting the gate off of the rail.

“The robbers found the client outside of her house and held her at knifepoint. They went on to rob the client of one TV, one cellphone, one handbag with personal belongings, and one laptop.”

A white Toyota Hilux Legend 45 was also stolen in a separate incident in Robin Park at 05:30 on June 21.
