Speaking on the ongoing investigation, Kekana urged community members to come forward with any details that could assist law enforcement in identifying and apprehending those responsible for the fatal attack.

We are calling on anyone who may have information, no matter how small it may seem, to assist the police in ensuring that those behind this senseless killing are brought to justice,” he said.

Kekana also confirmed that the Political Killings Task Team, Gauteng division, has been assigned to the case. The specialised unit, which focuses on politically motivated crimes, is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding Mtimkhulu’s death.
