Planned maintenance at Drowel: Several areas to be affected
At least 15 Randfontein areas will be affected by a planned power outage at Drowel Substation due to maintenance.
The Drowel Substation will be under maintenance leading to a planned power outage in several Randfontein areas.
This was confirmed in a statement that the Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) issued on March 7. The statement read that the Drowel Substation is scheduled for maintenance to ensure that the substation operates at optimum level.
The maintenance will be carried out on March 13 between 08:00 and 17:00. Areas affected include Wheatlands, Oosterplot, Elandsvlei, Botha plots, Wilbotsdal, Randgate, Randpoort, Greenhills, Greenhills Ext 3 and 5, Eikepark, Part of Homelake, Helikonpark, Loumarina, and Culemborgpark.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and kindly request that you make the necessary arrangements. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated,” the statement read.
