Water supply interrupted in many parts of town due to vandalism
Numerous areas are affected by water supply challenges due to the vandalism of a Rand Water Pipeline.
Rand West City Local Municipality confirmed that a Rand Water Pipeline has been vandalised which will affect water supply in several areas.
According to municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa, the water supply has since been shut down for repairs.
“The water levels in the Westergloor, Greenhills, and Finsbury reservoirs have dropped significantly to a status of empty. Areas that will be affected include the greater Randfontein, Toekomsrus, Finsbury, Mohlakeng and surrounding areas.
“The municipality apologises for the inconvenience.”
