Rand West launches billing programme to assist with ‘problematic’ municipal account queries

Revenue Billing Outreach Programme to be implemented to assist residents with any municipal account problem.

Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) has implemented and launched a major Revenue Billing Outreach Programme.

According to municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa, as of April 8, its revenue department will be visiting Wards 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9 to assist residents with problems regarding their municipal accounts.

“The programme will help residents to keep their accounts in good standing while motivating them to pay regularly. The revenue teams will be assisting with meter reading, invoicing, credit control, billing inquiries, social development, and prepaid water and electricity queries to name a few.”

Monthsiwa continued to say the programme would continue until May 6.

“The teams will be visiting the various wards along with the involved ward councillors. Residents should have their account details and prepaid water and electricity details at hand to ensure that queries are speedily resolved.”
