Every drop counts – Municipality’s notice about water conservation

The Rand West City Local Municipality has notified residents about the importance of water conservation.

The Rand West City Local Municipality has sent out notices to residents advising them to conserve water.

According to municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa, water conservation is crucial for ensuring a sustainable future. He added conservation plays a role in mitigating the effects of drought and water shortages.

“As climate change continues to exacerbate these challenges, implementing water conservation measures becomes even more critical. By using water efficiently and responsibly, we can ensure that there is enough water to meet the needs of everyone, including agriculture, industry, and households,” Montshiwa noted.

He further explained water conservation offers a more equitable distribution of water resources.

“Let us work together to conserve water by being responsible for its usage and ensuring enough water for everyone. Remember, every drop counts,” he concluded.
