Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa explained that three different topics will be discussed during each roadshow. The Mayoral Bursary Scheme, bidding and hosting opportunities and grants-in-aid will be focused on.

Montshiwa explained that the Mayoral Bursary Scheme is a programme that provides full financial support for tertiary education, covering tuition fees, accommodation, meals, and other study-related expenses.

He noted the second topic, bidding and hosting opportunities, is an initiative to make the municipality a hub for events that includes the growth of arts and culture, sports, and other creative sectors.

The grants-in-aid will also be discussed as a funding opportunity for NPOs.

Residents who are interested in any of the above-mentioned topics are invited to join the community roadshow.
