Rand West City Local Municipality repairs Finsbury wastewater infrastructure
The municipality’s Rapid Response Team tackled wastewater infrastructure along two busy streets.
Rand West City Local Municipality’s Rapid Response Team began a week-long operation in Finsbury on September 7, focusing on cleaning operations and repairs to wastewater infrastructure along Maluti and Cederberg streets.
The operation forms part of the municipality’s efforts to address service delivery concerns and improve the condition of municipal infrastructure in the area.

During the operation, the team carried out cleaning activities and attended to wastewater infrastructure requiring repairs, with the aim of improving the surrounding environment and ensuring the infrastructure continues to function effectively.

Municipal spokesperson Phillip Montshiwa has encouraged residents to help preserve the improvements made during the operation by disposing of waste responsibly and avoiding activities that could damage or obstruct municipal infrastructure.

Montshiwa said continued cooperation between residents and municipal teams is important to maintain cleaner communities and protect essential infrastructure.
