Local beauty and NPC reach out to 15 needy kids
'This has always been a passion of mine and an act of kindness on our part' – local beauty and resident Monique Losper about an outreach where 15 backpacks were donated to needy kids.
Local beauty and resident Monique Losper along with the Family Protection Association (Fampro) extended an act of kindness by packaging and distributing 15 essential backpacks to less fortunate children.
This was in Ralerata Street in Mohlakeng where Monique rolled up her sleeves, engaged with residents and handed out backpacks to some children who were playing nearby, as well as children who were at home with their parents.

The backpacks were suitable for different age groups and came with different winter goodies such as a set of pajamas and outfits, as well as a teddy bear, snacks, sanitary pads, toiletries, nappies, and formula bottles for babies among others.
They were also packaged for different genders to suit the recipients.
Speaking to the Randfontein Herald in an interview, Monique said she is thrilled to have made a difference in the community.
“I’m so happy to have collaborated with Fampro on this amazing project. This has always been a passion of mine and an act of kindness on our part. We just wanted to motivate the needy and remind them that they are not alone,” Monique said.

Although Fampro is situated on the East Rand, it knows no boundaries and helps people across the country.
The organisation was founded by Natasha Dixon who fights cases of abuse against women and children right up until court proceedings, where their team of attorneys and advocates step in. It also helps put women and children in places of safety. They are, however, in need of funding.
