Help JSCC make Christmas special for those in their care

The centre hopes to make Christmas special for those with special needs as well as the underprivileged children in the community.

Joyful Service Care Centre (JSCC) hopes to host a Christmas party for the underprivileged and special needs children in the community. However, they need the community’s assistance to make this a reality.

Janiera Forre, chairperson for the centre, explained they are currently situated in Eldorado Park, but are planning on branching out to other communities. They are in the process of opening a branch in Toekomsrus.

“The centre is for special needs children and adults, helping to sustain them and making sure they are taken care of,” said Janiera.

She continued they are hosting a Christmas party for special needs children and adults as well as underprivileged children in the community on December 15. They are asking the community for donations in this regard.

“We are planning to interact with the children and their families and have a fun-filled day where we bring joy and the feeling of Christmas to everyone,” she stated.

She noted the inspiration came from the fact that special needs children as well as adults are often forgotten.
“At JSCC we want the special needs community to be heard, seen, loved and understood. Also not forgetting our underprivileged children who should also get to feel the love of Christmas.

“Our hope is for the event to be a success, also making sure every child has something to eat and something to take home.”

Anyone who wants to donate can contact Janiera on 079 425 7061.
