Tisha helps pamper Pekingese cross

Tisha's Dog Parlour helped make Princess feel like a princess after offering a free pampering session.

Tisha’s Dog Parlour has jumped in to help Animal Aid Warriors give another dog an altruistic grooming.

According to director Naomi de Beer, concerned residents called to report that a Pekingese cross had been abandoned. After arriving on the property, Naomi saw that the dog’s owner was in a wheelchair and only receiving a disability grant.

She added that the concerned residents recently moved into the new home and were unaware that the 10-year-old dog’s owner was in a wheelchair.

“With only a disability grant, sending pets for pampering sessions is difficult. The necessities for the animal are there, but the extra, such as grooming, cannot be provided due to financial reasons,” Naomi explained.

When Naomi saw that the Pekingese, known as Princess, desperately needed grooming, she called Tisha’s Dog Parlour. The parlour did not hesitate to give Princess the makeover she needed.

Not only did the parlour give Princess a grooming, but they are currently helping to groom two Animal Aid Warrior dogs every six weeks.

“The parlour always helps us to treat the pets. She was our first call,” Naomi concluded.
