Adonia Angels bring joy to vulnerable kids

Various places of safety for children spent a day with entertainers thanks to Adonia Angels in what has been described as a Christmas to remember.

Adonia Angels hosted a Matai Charity Festival at Die Windpomp Pub and Grill for children in places of safety with numerous performers showing up to entertain the crowd.

Corrie van Loggerenberg, the founder of Adonia, stated they had five places of safety visiting for the day, which included The Bethany House Trust which is situated in Krugersdorp. They had 194 children in total. The performers not only entertained the crowd but also played games with the children and handed out presents.

Every child received a Christmas present.

The performers included Ollie the singing clown, Liane Heyl who played Boeboe in Vetkoekpaleis, Anton Fitchat, Betty Jean and Johnny Poeter. Several local businesses also sponsored the event.

“We want to thank God as everything was a blessing from His hand. The feedback we received was that it was the best Christmas they’ve had. May God bless every person who made this day possible for the children. It was a Christmas to remember,” said Corrie.

She mentioned they are planning to host another similar event next year for the children in local schools who are part of the feeding schemes.
