Ebuhleni catered for the less fortunate last festive season
The children of Mohlakeng and Zenzele experienced the Christmas spirit after the Ebuhleni Home Based Care Project gave them proper meals and clothing.

Ebuhleni Home Based Care Project made the festive season one to remember for the underprivileged children of Mohlakeng and Zenzele.
During the festive season, the founder of Ebuhleni, Nzimeni Funeka and members handed out bread, soup and second-hand clothing to less fortunate children.
On Christmas Day, nutritious meals were provided to the children. They also hosted a fun and playful event where the children could dance and play games.
“I decided to hold these outreaches due to a high volume of poverty and hunger and lack of employment in our society, which led our children to be victims to societal issues such as early pregnancy,” Nzimeni claimed.
The organisation’s future goals are to see growth and to have enough donations to make it possible to fulfil its duties. Nzimeni further explained they also want to create more jobs while feeding and clothing children in need.
“We strive to equip the children with skills and knowledge to enable them to do things for themselves. My goal is to see all the children go to bed with a full stomach and for my caregivers to receive a stipend salary,” he concluded.
He also thanked those who were able to assist on Christmas Day.
