From down and beaten to healthy
A puppy that was beaten by children is now up for adoption and seeking another chance at life.

No More Tears Animal Rescue saved a dog from being beaten to death by children. The puppy is now healthy and looking for a forever home.
The dog is a mixed breed and about six months old. She has been a part of the No More Tears family since the end of January.
According to volunteer Clarisse Kruger, the dog was found just in time. She added the dog was being kicked by children and would have eventually died.
“Fortunately, a kindhearted resident saw what happened and immediately stopped it. She picked up the dog, whereafter director Riana Cronje went to fetch her. The dog was taken to a local veterinary hospital and luckily, there were no serious injuries,” Kruger stated.
Although the dog sustained minimal injuries, Kruger added she was still underfed and showed signs of tick fever. She was consequently treated.
“She has a beautiful personality. She is very busy and energetic. She enjoys every bit of attention,” she said.
The dog is now up for adoption and in desperate need of a forever home.
“Our name reflects our core belief: All animals, regardless of breed, age or condition, deserve love. We focus on giving stray and abandoned animals, the forgotten souls on the streets – a second chance. Everyone deserves a second chance at a forever home, a home of love and care. Fortunately, in the process, we found a beautiful family to foster her for us,” she said.
“There are so many animals out there that need our help as a community. If anyone is in a position to foster, it would make a huge difference.
“Some animals that have escaped and are looking for their owners and only need to stay with someone for a day or two until the owners are found, or animals that are picked up and looking for permanent homes but need someone to stay with and keep them safe for a short period. These are examples of why foster homes are needed.
“Unfortunately, some of the animals in our care come from difficult circumstances and our greatest hope and wish for them is that they will each find their forever homes. Each one deserves a second chance,” she concluded.
