Lost dog reunited with owners

After getting lost, Brad the dog was finally reunited with his owners and left with a wagging tail.

In a happy turn of events, a lost dog was successfully reunited with his family.

Brad was found on February 28 at a local veterinary hospital in the area.

According to the director of No More Tears Animal Rescue, Stephan Hendricks, the dog received vaccinations annually from the very same vet and it seemed to have been the only place the dog recognised.

He was scanned by a veterinarian who found a microchip which was not registered and No More Tears continued to search for Brad’s owners.

“After extensive research, we found that Brad was around 10 years old since he was microchipped in 2015. But there was still no trace of his owners. We networked him on all social media platforms but unfortunately, there were still no signs.

It did not make any sense, so we wondered if he was possibly dumped,” Stephan said.

Their only thought was that maybe the owners did not have social media. No More Tears had to make the call to neuter and vaccinate Brad, whereafter they also found a temporary foster home to take care of him.

Thankfully, Stephan received a message from one of the owners who had Brad since he was a puppy and this was the first time he escaped.

When the owner came to fetch Brad, Stephan explained that a person could see the pure joy of the dog. Brad was neutered and vaccinated, and his microchip was registered before he left, tail wagging, with his owners.

Brad is reunited with his family.
