Teine advance to Grand Challenge semi-finals
Randfontein Rugby Club's first team booked its place in the Grand Challenge semi-finals with a 36–26 victory over Wits and their eightman scoring a hat-trick.
Randfontein Rugby Club secured a place in the Golden Lions Rugby Union Grand Challenge semi-finals after beating Wits 36–26 at Greenhills Stadium on August 8.
Ruan du Toit, who wore the number eight jersey, was in outstanding form, scoring three tries, while Renaldo Visser, Dylan Viviers and Dewalt Sonnekus each crossed the try line once.
Teine’s U21s were awarded a 28–0 victory after Germiston Simmer Rugby Club forfeited their match, while Teine’s third team edged Raiders Rugby Club 24–21.

Away in Hartbeespoort, the second team went down 22–17 to Northam Wolves.
The first team will host the University of Potchefstroom (Pukke) at Greenhills Stadium on Saturday, August 15. The third team will kick off at 13:00, followed by the first team at 16:00.
