Angel Care launches Winter Hope Box drive for abused children

The Angel Care Foundation NPO needs help to keep abused and neglected children warm this winter with their Winter Hope Box Project. Can you help?

To help abused children, the Angel Care Foundation has started its Winter Hope Box Project, and they need the community’s help to make it a success.

Founder and director Sharon Pennells stated the project aims to help children in need by making boxes that include warm clothes, blankets, toys and other essential items.

“Any donations from the community can help us create a comfortable and safe environment for the children,” Sharon noted.

Residents can help the foundation’s cause by donating the items used to create the boxes as well as spreading the word.

“Every cent counts, and your support can help keep a child warm. Unfortunately, we cannot do this project alone,” she said.

Sharon added that every contribution ensures:
• A monthly winter box for the less fortunate families with a value of R3 000
• Two weeks’ worth of groceries for households with children
• Provision of a month’s nutritious meals for a homeless individual

“Every donation, large or small, brings us closer to our goal of eradicating hunger in our community. Your donation is tax-deductible, and 100% of the funds go directly to supporting our Winter Hope Box Project,” she concluded.

If you can contribute to the foundation’s cause, contact them on 071 062 4984 or send an email to angelcareacf@outlook.com.
