Broken SPCA vehicles put animal lives at risk

To keep saving animals in need, the SPCA is calling on the community to help get their vital vehicles back on the road.

The RandWest SPCA is appealing to the community for urgent help after two of its vehicles broke down, leaving the organisation struggling to respond to animal emergencies.

The SPCA is now facing a huge crisis as it fights to repair two of its vehicles. Manager Inspector René van Straten explained that they cannot attend to emergencies if they do not have the transport.

Even though they have a reliable mechanic to assist them, they need to put down a deposit of R5 000 before the repairs can begin.

“Every minute counts, and without a vehicle, an animal’s life could be at risk. Every donation makes a difference. Thank you for standing with us and for the animals who cannot speak for themselves,” Van Straten emphasised.

If you can donate to this cause, contact the SPCA at 078 911 0538.
