According to Rand West Fire Chief Benny Mohlabeng, the fire ignited in the evening due to an electrical fault in one of the offices. He confirmed that the blaze was quickly extinguished and that the affected office endured only minor damage.

“The electrical department was on-site the following day to ensure safety,” Mohlabeng stated, adding that no injuries were reported.
