The True Playa X Kasi Flare Qualifiers Tournament showcased the impressive skills of local gamers, and the True Playa Esports platform is gearing up to host another exciting tournament.
Local gamers battled it out with incredible remote control skills at the True Playa X Kasi Flare Qualifiers Tournament, proudly supported by the True Playa Esports platform.
According to the founder of the platform, Nqobile Francesco Sibiya, the tournament took place on November 1, where participants competed in EA FC 25, a football simulation video game which was chosen to represent focus, skill and strategy.
Nqobile emphasised that this tournament marked the first step towards building a community of Esports lovers.

“Our biggest achievement was manifesting this event from pure faith and vision. We started with no venue, no consoles, and no equipment, but through alignment, everything came together perfectly,” he said.
He further explained that this event was not just about competing, but also about the birth of the platform that helped people connect.
His main goal was to create an environment full of energy and unity, but as the event developed, it evolved into something that brought the youth together. He explained that it taught participants that there is a way to build their futures through creativity and faith.

“Your ideas are divine, so don’t wait for permission to move,” he expressed.
He stated this tournament was only the beginning, as they plan to host another tournament called the Split 4 Qualifiers. Thereafter, the overall champion will be crowned.
Nqobile built True Playa with the intention to form an environment for local talent while combining competition, technology and community. With this platform, he aims to help console players stay off the streets and be a part of something that will elevate their futures.
“We are focused on removing financial barriers so that talent from underprivileged communities can shine,” he said.
