Two-year-old pit bull goes missing after New Year’s fireworks

A two-year-old pit bull named Storm went missing after fireworks on New Year's Eve, and her owner is appealing to the community for help.

A two-year-old beloved pit bull named Storm has been missing since New Year’s Eve after fireworks frightened her and caused her to flee from her home.

Storm was last seen in Middelvlei.

Her owner, Rikus Hoffman, explained that the firecrackers made Storm frantic, causing her to escape the yard and run off.

“She is the dog of a six-year-old girl who misses her every day. Every day is heartbreaking, having to explain the situation to her,” Hoffman said.

He has asked the community for help in finding Storm or providing information about her whereabouts, noting that a reward will be offered.

Anyone with information about Storm can contact Hoffman on 066 499 4430.
