Randfontein gets state-of-the-art Smart Driver’s Licensing Centre
A new Smart Driver’s Licensing Centre in Randfontein promises faster, more convenient services for the community.
Randfontein residents will soon benefit from faster, more convenient driver and vehicle licensing services, following the opening of the modernised Umphakathi Mall Smart Driver’s Licensing Centre (DLTC) in Rand West City.
Umphakathi Mall is situated off Main Reef Road (R28) between Mohlakeng and Toekomsrus.
The Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport, Kedibone Diale-Tlabela, will officially officiate the launch on Thursday, February 5.
According to the department’s head of communications, Melitah Madiba, the centre aims to improve customer experience through enhanced convenience, professionalism and operational efficiency.
She said the launch forms part of the Gauteng government’s commitment to expanding access to quality licensing services, particularly in townships, informal settlements and hostels.
“As part of broader service delivery improvements, the department plans to roll out additional Smart Licensing Centres across Gauteng, making licensing more accessible to communities across the province,” said Madiba.
