Power interruption scheduled for Sunday

Rand West City residents in several agricultural holdings will experience a four-hour planned power interruption on February 22 as technicians carry out essential electrical upgrades

Rand West City Local Municipality has notified residents of a planned power interruption to allow for essential electrical line connection work.

According to Councillor Alwyn van Tonder, technicians will conduct maintenance and upgrades to electrical infrastructure in the affected areas to improve reliability and safety. As a result, electricity will be temporarily interrupted to all properties connected to the specified line.

The outage is scheduled for February 22 from 10:00 to 14:00.

Areas affected include Wheatlands AH, Ooster AH, Bootha AH and Elandsvlei AH, as well as properties along Lazaar/ Randfontein Road.

Residents and businesses will not have electricity during this period. Customers who rely on essential electrical equipment, including medical devices, are advised to make alternative arrangements in advance.
