Operation Prosper will target key threats, including illegal mining, infrastructure theft and violent crime, which continue to plague parts of the district. The joint operation signals intensified collaboration between law enforcement, the military and community structures to restore law and order.

Speaking at the launch, officials emphasised the importance of a united front, noting that integrating resources and intelligence between the police and SANDF would strengthen operations on the ground.
