Westgold’s cheerleaders got spirit, yes, they do!
With passion, teamwork and energy, Westgold Primary’s cheerleaders proved they’re a force to be reckoned with at the Drummies D2 Championships.
Westgold Primary School’s cheerleading teams lit up the Drummies D2 Championships in Krugersdorp on August 16, with their spirit and energy.
This is according to school spokesperson Mariska du Plessis, who added that after a long and demanding season, the teams gave it their all. With their utter devotion, their hard work seemed to pay off, and the teams achieved great success.

The Fearless Army achieved second place in the Pompom Division with coaches Shannon Earle and Symoné Smith leading them, while the Little Dippers also received second place in the Non-Prop Division, with coach Danielle Potter behind their success.
The Golden Flyers achieved third place in the Flags Trio Division with their coach, Janie Brill.

“These results reflect not just talent, but also determination, teamwork and dedication. Each team brought something unique to the floor, and their performances were sharp, passionate and packed with energy that electrified the crowd,” Mariska expressed proudly.
She added that the school’s cheerleading is already making a name for itself in the competitive scene.
“We are proud of all of you. Keep soaring, keep shining and keep inspiring,” she concluded.
