Surprise celebration for dedicated Hartzstraat teachers

Teachers at Hartzstraat Primary School were recently celebrated for their role in helping learners grow both academically and personally.

The staff of Hartzstraat Primary School recently marked World Teachers’ Day with smiles and celebration, each receiving a personalised gift and heartfelt message in appreciation of their hard work and dedication.

According to educator Roslyne Roberts, even though the school fell short on celebrating the day in recent years, they deemed this year as a new era that would celebrate teachers’ dedication for years to come.

She added that the staff-member committee, known as Values in Education, organised the celebration.

“The staff did not expect it and were pleasantly surprised. They later expressed their appreciation because they felt valued for the work they do,” Roslyne said.

She further explained that teachers are the cornerstone of learning and development.

“World Teachers’ Day is a chance to celebrate the amazing people who help learners grow in school and in life. Teachers shape a huge part of the children’s futures, tackle significant challenges and give their all every day, often without enough recognition,” she expressed.
