Nursery school upgraded as government invests in young learners
Kideo Nursery School and Baby Care in Mohlakeng received a special donation to upgrade the facility and promote youth education.
There was an atmosphere of joy and excitement at Kideo Nursery School and Baby Care during the handover of a refurbished facility by the Gauteng Partnership Fund (GPF).
This contribution included the painting of classrooms, as well as a donation of a Jojo Tank and the improvement of toilet facilities. According to principal Nomvuyo Motsumi, this donation could not have arrived at a better time.
“It is a day we have been looking forward to for far too long. We find ourselves fortunate to be recipients. It has come in handy to support the learners with their education,” she said.

GPF CEO Lindiwe Kwele describes this day as a celebration of giving, highlighting the importance of supporting children and their futures.
“This is all about investing in dignity when we contributed to the upgrade and refurbishment of the facility; however, this investment is not measured by budget but by the smiles of little faces,” she said.

Ward councillor Philisile Faku expressed gratitude for the GPF’s contribution to the crèche in his ward.
“It is our wish that this gesture be extended to other institutions in our community. Any nation that does not care for children is doomed, as stated by our founding father, Nelson Mandela,” Philisile said.
