What Westgold learners want for Christmas

From telescopes to running shoes, Westgold Primary learners reveal what they hope to find under the Christmas tree this year.

Westgold Primary School’s learners are excited for the joys that Christmas brings as they eagerly share what they hope to receive from Santa this year.

Junior Motaung expressed his excitement for Christmas and hopes to receive rugby bricks as well as a rugby ball. Since he plays fly-half for the rugby team, he would like to practise his kicking skills at home.

Malik Andreas also wants rugby gear, but he is especially hoping for a scrum cap because he scrums often for the U12A team. He also wishes for a PlayStation 5 so that he can enjoy video games during the holidays.

Liano Pretorius is very interested in astronomy and enjoys observing the stars and planets in the solar system. His biggest wish is to receive a telescope so that he can continue stargazing.

“I would like a piggy bank and a pair of running shoes. I usually save money for all my academic achievements, so I need a place to keep it. I also need running shoes because I play netball and participate in athletics,” explained Khwezi Motsoeneng.

Sibusiso Ngozi plays eighth man for his rugby team, but he would like a PlayStation 5 so he can play rugby games at home.

“I want a brown and white teddy bear because I need one to help me feel comfortable when I’m afraid,” said Sharon Lupuwana.
