Westgold’s leaders are ready to take on high school

Westgold Primary School's leaders of 2025 are stepping into high school, ready to face new challenges and excited for what lies ahead.

As Westgold Primary School’s Grade Seven class of 2025 prepares to start their high school journey, learners shared what they are most excited about.

George Harmse is looking forward to joining the rugby team, as well as meeting new people, attending school events and adapting to the new curriculum.

Lonene Rivombo is excited to make new friends and explore new subjects, with Mathematics being his favourite.

Former first hockey team captain Kaitlin Ngwenya is eager for a challenging and rewarding new hockey season, while also looking forward to studying Engineering Graphics and Design at her high school.

Head boy Aobakwe Wesi said, “As I start at Hoërskool Riebeeckrand, I look forward to the academic year, the rugby season and becoming the best person I can be. I am excited to learn, lead, and embrace new opportunities.”

Head girl Kamagelo Sixpence added, “Being in a new environment and gaining knowledge excites me. I am also looking forward to my new uniform. The legacy I have left is already set in stone, and although I will face challenges, nothing is impossible with God on my side.”
