Grade 12 motivation drive

Rand West City Local Municipality is hosting motivational talks at local schools to help Grade 12 learners prepare for the pressures and demands of their final year.

Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) has launched a project aimed at supporting Grade 12 learners by offering guidance on how to navigate this crucial academic year.

Sabelo Duma from the municipality’s Public Safety Department explained that motivational talks were held at various schools to prepare learners for the challenges of their final school year.

“The sessions focused on what to expect during Grade 12, how to remain motivated, and how to cope with the pressure and stress often associated with the year. Learners were also advised on effective time management, maintaining discipline, and setting achievable goals to help them succeed,” he explained.

The programme kicked off at Westonaria High School, followed by visits to AB Phokompe Secondary School and Ithuteng High School. Talks were also held at Kgothalang High School and Hoërskool Jan Viljoen.

Duma concluded that the initiative will continue at additional schools in the area.

On February 5, the team will visit Randfontein High School (RHS) to host another motivational session.
