According to Rochie, the club aims to transfer soccer skills to young, aspiring soccer players.

“Most of the equipment we use was donated by other football clubs. Even though we are grateful for such gestures, we would still like to appeal to the community to help us with raising funds so that we can sustain ourselves,” Rochie said.

He added that their needs include balls and gear, and said, “We would also appreciate some financial assistance in running the club.”

When Rochie started the club, he said he had a purpose and passion for getting children off the streets and giving them an opportunity to harness their raw talent.

“Children are often exposed to social ills and constantly faced with pressure. Shooting Stars is here for those who want discover their talent and prosper in life,” Rochie added.
