Malaysia – here comes Harmony Martial Arts!
Master Godfrey Jacobsen is proud of his students who excelled at the Provincial and National Championships respectively.
Five students from Harmony Martial Arts in Randgate were awarded medals by the South African Korean Martial Arts Association (SAKMAA) after competing in the Provincial and National Championships.
They are Bradley Jacobsen, Wayne Fiford, Duncan Jonker, Jason Fiford and Reagan Jonker.

The provincial championships were held on 13 July in Valhalla, Centurion and the national championships from 3 to 4 August in Potchefstroom.
Only four of them, however, received provincial colours, which were handed over to them by Martial Arts South Africa (MASA).

According to Master Godfrey Jacobsen, Bradley, Wayne, Duncan and Jason obtained enough points in three different tournaments. They will now represent their province to tour the World Championships in Malaysia in 2021.
Reagan Jonker unfortunately did not obtain enough points to qualify and receive his provincial colours this year.

Master Godfrey explained that a student can accumulate points at three different tournaments: one style event, one MASA event (Arnold Classic) and the SAKMAA (South African Korean Martial Arts Association) Provincials.
“Two points are awarded for participation, six points for a third place, eight points for a second place and 10 points for a first place,” he said.
