Evan is flying with his Eagles wrestling wings
Evan Botha has wrestled his way to the top, winning one silver medal and three gold medals since joining the Eagles Wrestling Club four years ago.
Evan Botha (13) joined the Eagles Wrestling Club in 2019 and has found his wrestling wings excelling in the sport.
In 2022, Evan was chosen for the Central Gauteng Wrestling team. He then travelled to the Western Cape to participate in the U13 category during the South African Wrestling Federation’s (SAWF) Youth National Championships where he bagged a silver medal.
In February of this year, Evan was again chosen for the Central Gauteng Wrestling team and proceeded to participate in the SAWF National President School category in March.
Subsequently, Evan obtained his first South African gold medal in 2023. In April of this year, he also took home another gold medal when he participated in the Greco-Roman U13 category. His third gold medal was obtained in Pretoria where he participated in the Freestyle U13 category at the SAWF Nationals.
The club predicts a bright future for the youngster.
