Hoërskool Jan Viljoen High School congratulates one of their learners after he was chosen to attend a football trial camp in Germany.

Grade 10 learner Gasefele Thato Phiri has been chosen to attend a trial camp in Germany to enhance his football skills.

Hoërskool Jan Viljoen High School is proud to announce that Gasefele has been selected to go to Germany. According to school spokesperson Charl Ludick, the trial camp was organised by the FSV (Fußball- und Sport-Verein Mainz 05) Mainz technical team in collaboration with the Prestige Football Development Academy.

Charl stated that Gasefele was one of 36 soccer players chosen to travel to Germany on June 17. The opportunity came when the FSV Mainz coaches visited South Africa to join the Prestige Academy camp, where they shared their expertise and evaluated players.

“This tour promises to offer invaluable experiences, enhance football skills, and provide significant personal and athletic growth. We wish to congratulate Gasefele, a first-team soccer player, on a remarkable achievement,” Charl said.
