“Besides netball taking kids off the streets, it can also keep you fit and healthy. Remember, a healthy body means a healthy mind,” said Thotloetso.
She continued, she qualified for the West Rand team in April after going through various rigorous trials.
In July, Thotloetso will be taking part in the Telkom Junior National Championships in Cape Town.
“It has always been my dream to represent the West Rand and ultimately play provisionally, which will lead to me playing on the national team and representing our beautiful country, hopefully at the coming World Cup finals,” she added.

“I would advise parents to encourage their kids to play the sport since it also teaches us to work as a team for a common goal and to focus on achieving great things,” concluded Thotloetso.
The family is currently raising funds to get Thotloetso to Cape Town for the championships. Any person who would like to donate can contact them on 083 263 5514 or 083 638 7480.
