Support our rugby talents bound for Europe

After their impressive performance at Rhino Week, two rugby players have been chosen to compete in Spain and Italy, respectively.

Two rugby players have been chosen to tour overseas after their stellar performances at Rhino Week in Vereeniging earlier in July. However, they need the community’s help to make their dreams of playing overseas come true.

Thoriso Yumba, a learner at Hoërskool Riebeeckrand and Ntando Lamola, a learner at Hoërskool Bastion, impressed coaches and scouts alike. During their last match, the two even faced off against each other.

Thoriso explained he is the under-captain for the Central West team and was named Man of the Match. Ntando scored the winning try during their last match and was also named Man of the Match. He is set to play for the Barbarians Club in Spain from November 30 to December 9, and Ntando will play for the SA Rhinos in Italy from December 1 to 10.

There is a payment schedule for the tour, and the first payment, R15 000, is to secure their place on the tour and is due at the end of July.

Any person willing to contribute to the rugby players’ tours can contact Thoriso’s aunt, Tshego Mushwana, on 066 481 8302 or Ntando on 069 270 2934 or 071 649 9738.
