Countdown begins for Randfontein football season
Clubs and officials are working together to ensure a smooth, well-organised and competitive football season in Randfontein.
The Randfontein Local Football Association recently held a key preparatory meeting at the Ace Ntsoelengoe Stadium to gear up for the upcoming football season, with a strong focus on club registrations and league readiness.
The meeting brought together club representatives, coaches and football administrators from across the local football fraternity, all aiming to align ahead of what is expected to be a competitive season.

Central to discussions was the registration process, with clubs urged to complete all administrative requirements on time to avoid delays.
Chairperson Andrew Moatshe emphasised the importance of compliance, including proper player registrations, updated club documentation and adherence to league rules.
He said these measures are essential to maintaining professionalism and fairness in local competitions.
A key highlight was the introduction of the new committee, led by Moatshe, alongside deputy chair Kedibone Moruledi and the association co-ordinator.

The committee outlined its vision, committing to improved organisation, greater transparency and stronger development structures for football in the area.
Clubs were also given an opportunity to raise concerns and make suggestions, creating an open platform for engagement between leadership and stakeholders. Issues such as fixture scheduling, referee availability and youth development were among the main topics discussed.
