Entries open April 20 for 2026 Totalsports Women’s Race
Runners and walkers are urged to act fast when entries open for the 2026 Totalsports Women’s Race on April 20.
South Africa’s premier Women’s Month celebration, the Totalsports Women’s Race, returns this August with three events across Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg on three consecutive Sundays.
The series kicks off in Durban on August 2, moves to Cape Town on August 9 and concludes in Johannesburg on August 16.
Michael Meyer, managing director of Stillwater Sports, confirmed the dates, saying more than 30 000 women take part each year across the three cities and surrounds.
He said the event celebrates inclusivity, empowerment, and the joy of movement through scenic 5km and 10km routes, welcoming everyone from elite athletes to first-time participants.
Beyond the finish line, the event continues its support for PinkDrive, contributing to the fight against breast cancer.

Meyer added that the 2026 edition offers SA’s elite women another opportunity to compete in a world-class, women-only race at home, with three chances to race against a strong elite field. He said organisers aim to raise the bar for women’s racing while creating a high-energy atmosphere for participants and spectators.
Nikki Crous, head of marketing at Totalsports, said the race has become one of South Africa’s leading Women’s Month celebrations, uniting women of all ages and backgrounds in a shared experience of strength, resilience and community.
She concluded that each city route offers a unique experience, from Durban’s streets to Cape Town’s waterfront and Johannesburg’s energy, and encouraged participants to enter early once registrations open.
Entries for the 2026 Totalsports Women’s Race will open on Monday, April 20.
