Cleaners find foetus in north mall dustbin
Police have opened a concealment of birth docket and investigations are continuing.

Cleaners found human remains in a dustbin at the Kolonnade shopping centre on Friday.
Police were called to the scene after the grisly discovery was made.
“We can confirm a foetus was found in a dustbin on Kolonnade centre’s ground,” mall general manager Berdine Kruger said.
She said the centre could not comment further about the “extremely sensitive and unfortunate discovery”.
“We must allow the SAPS to conduct a full investigation,” Kruger said.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Sam Shibambo confirmed a docket of concealment of birth was opened for investigation.
“The cleaners were busy emptying some garbage into the waste bin when they suddenly saw something resembling a human being,” he said.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the male foetus was approximately six-months-old,” he said.
