UPDATE: Fatal crash at Lanseria Airport
Operations at Lanseria Airport were not affected by crash.

CEO and Airport Manager of Lanseria International Airport, Gavin Sayce confirmed on Monday morning that three people lost their lives during a fatal plane crash at this privately owned airport. “No flights have been delayed due to the accident and operations will continue,” Sayce said.
The pilot and two crew members flew to Lanseria in a King Air 90 in heavy rain when the airplane crashed into an embankment off the runway. The plane burst into flames, leaving no chance for any survivors.
Further investigation will be conducted by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), said Sayce.
