The police are still searching for a suspect after his alleged accomplice has been arrested recently for allegedly murdering a man for a cell phone in the Atteridgeville area.
According to police spokesperson, Constable Tumisang Moloto, police received a complaint about people fighting. He said that it was believed the men were fighting over a cell phone.
“After responding to the complaint, the police found the body of an unknown male on the floor of a house. Apparently the man was stabbed.”
There were two suspects according to eye witnesses. Moloto said that with the help of these eye witnesses, the police managed to arrest one of the suspects who was allegedly involved in the murder.
The police are still searching for the second suspect and have urged the community to help them by providing any information they may have.
A case of murder is being investigated by the Atteridgeville police station.
