A female A Re Yeng worker was killed on Friday morning when she was hit by a taxi.

A female A Re Yeng construction worker was killed on Friday morning when she was hit by a taxi in the north of Pretoria, the City of Tshwane said.
The worker, who was a flag lady on the Mansfield and Paul Kruger trajectory, was hit and killed immediately by a taxi that overtook a car and drove through the New Jersey barriers. “The accident happened near the Wannenburg scrapyard, north of Die Poort. The police are investigating the accident,” said mayoral spokesperson Blessing Manale.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, as family have not yet been notified. “Motorists and pedestrians are urged to adhere to the traffic signage and speed limits and to be extra vigilant when walking or driving around construction sites. Our thoughts remain with her family, friends, colleagues and all those that have been saddened by this loss,” Manale said.
