Mysterious love letter

Two lucky Rekord readers can win double tickets to the Ten Chair Tour at the Musaion this Sunday.

Famous Steinway pianist, Charl du Plessis known to many as South Africa’s Piano Man, is currently touring the country with the Ten Chair Tour to perform on his ten favourite Steinway pianos in search of a mysterious love letter left in one of these piano’s chairs over 50 years ago.

The Ten Chair Tour is a solo piano recital with a difference featuring famous classical works by Bach, Rachmaninov, Chopin and Gershwin. Throughout the performance Du Plessis shares the meaning behind the music to the audience and it enables them to engage with the music in a more informed fashion.

The Ten Chair Tour will be in the Musaion on the campus of the University of Pretoria on Sunday 8 June at 16:00. Du Plessis will perform on a new Steinway concert grand that he chose from the Hamburg factory floor of Steinway in 2013. Bookings are now open at Computicket for the Charl du Plessis Ten Chair Tour.

Two lucky Rekord readers can win double tickets to the Ten Chair Tour at the Musaion this Sunday. To win, send the word ‘CHAIR’ along with your name to 42282. Normal SMS rates apply and free SMSs do not apply. The competition closes on 5 June at midnight. Winners will be notified per telephone.
